Craftsman 60V Max Handheld Blower: Product Review

This is the lightest cordless blower I’ve tested to date, as well as one of the most powerful. At just over 5 lbs (10 lbs with the battery installed), a 90-minute run time (on the low setting), and 600 CFM blowing at 110 mph, this is one heck of a blower. It doesn’t have a shoulder strap but it simply doesn’t need one; it’s light-weight and well-balanced enough to be easily held with just one Continue Reading

Greenworks 24 Volt, 2-speed Cordless Sweeper: Product Review

I would unequivocally recommend this sweeper. It has a lot of nice features, including dual speeds, light weight, excellent balance and charge indicator lights on the battery. I like the extra power when it's needed and the lower MPH for normal applications (and conserving battery life). It removes the debris that a broom can’t touch, and does it with speed and precision. Note that this is not a blower and so wouldn't be useful for Continue Reading

Greenworks 40V Lithium-Ion Axial Blower (2400802): Product Review

This is one of the best blowers we’ve tested to date. It has power, versatility, and quality. Be aware that if the cruise control lever is in the “on” position, the blower will automatically start when the battery is installed (that’s a potential safety issue). That aside, the Greenworks 40V Lithium-Ion Axial Blower (model 2400802) is definitely a recommended buy. Continue Reading

Redback 40V Cordless Blower (106062): Product Review

Redback has produced a very good blower, with excellent quality and safety features, a helpful shoulder belt, 60+ minutes run time, and four blower speeds. It has an electronic control panel instead of a variable-speed trigger-style throttle, and will only run in turbo-speed mode for 30 seconds before dropping down to high speed – two features that some users may not like. Overall though, it’s a good choice for use in the typical suburban property. Continue Reading

Toro UltraPlus Electric Leaf Blower Vac (51621): Product Review

With fall comes fallen leaves and the question of what to do with them. Some people compost them to create leaf mold, others use them as mulch on garden beds, and others choose to dispose of them entirely. But one way or another, you have to first collect those leaves. That’s where a combination leaf blower, vacuum and leaf shredder like the Toro UltraPlus comes in handy. Continue Reading
